We can’t even begin to explain how much goes on behind the scenes at Short and Suite BNB – and how much our executive assistant, Ally is involved in keeping things afloat! There is really never a dull moment at Short and Suite. Here’s what Ally has to say about working with Ottawa’s largest Airbnb property management company.
What is your official position at Short and Suite?

What does a regular day look like for you?
My morning starts with catching up on emails that came through overnight. I’m regularly pulling transaction data from Airbnb to generate our invoices and provide spreadsheets of rentals to our landlords. I’m often creating, sending and paying invoices related to our day to day operations.
I also assist with sending out leases, contracts and information to get new landlords set up. We have lots of potential employees come by the office and I assist Patti with the employee paperwork and on boarding process! We are consistently growing with employees and clients.
How long have you worked with Short and Suite bnb?
I’ve been with Short and Suite bnb since May 2019!
What’s your favourite thing about Airbnb?
Airbnb is an amazing platform to connect travelers with unique and practical properties! I’ve personally used Airbnb many times for my travels and it’s such an easy process. Nothing beats being able to live like a local in another city and get the full home-like experience.
Why do you think it’s become so popular?
I think Airbnb is so popular because people are looking for new ways to experience cities and travel. Hosts are able to share all the special aspects of their city with someone new. The platform is also very reliable and I think travelers enjoy how easy it is to use the app and website to book accommodations and experiences.
What’s one thing you always have at your desk?
My pink Swell water bottle and my phone charger! Both are essential for a productive day 🙂
Dream Airbnb destination?
My dream Airbnb destination would definitely be Northern Italy!
What do you want people to know about Short and Suite?
At Short and Suite we really value our relationships with the community and we use local businesses for our company needs (cleaning supplies, linens, hardware, etc.). We are also a female owned business which I think is amazing, all about that girl power!
